I first discovered yoga in the late 90’s. At the time I was working in London, juggling a demanding career. Finding Yoga gave me an outlet to balance my body and mind.
Over the years I have practiced many forms of Hatha yoga such as: Power Yoga, Sivananda yoga, Jivamukti Yoga & Yin Yoga.
After many years I discovered a love of Ashtanga Yoga a physically demanding form of yoga that synchronises breath, in a series of progressive postures. Today I practise Advanced A - Third Series of Ashtanga Yoga.
I initially trained as a general Hatha Yoga teacher (Level 3 diploma), however have since taken and continue to expand my training (200hr Yoga Alliance) in Ashtanga Yoga under my beloved Senior Ashtanga teacher, Sandra Howling.
In order to balance a physical yoga practice I completed my teacher training in Restorative Yoga (Yoga Alliance) - a deeply healing style of yoga that works on the parasympathetic nervous system, using props to induce relaxation.
I constantly continue to expand my practice and knowledge of yoga, undertaking yoga immersions, teacher trainings and workshops with well-respected practitioners, such as Manju Jois, Kino Macgregor, David Swenson & Phillipa Asher to name a few.
I absolutely love teaching yoga. Meeting new people and seeing their practice develop physically and spiritually is very gratifying and I feel honoured to be able to teach.
